The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is flooded with requests from several organisations for verification of various educational documents submitted by students and others for various purposes.
Despite, developing an online repository of digital academic documents, many organisations keep on sending requests to CBSE for verification of such educational documents. In its latest notice, the CBSE has asked organisations not to send such requests to the Board. Rather they can register online and get the verification done.
It is pertinent to mention here that the CBSE in 2016 had come up with first of its kind online repository of digital academic documents. The repository has been integrated with NAD’s DigiLocker platform.
“At present, the result data of class 10 and 12 examinees of 21 years, from 2001 to 2022 is available for downloading of digital documents by students and verification by employers and higher education institutions,” CBSE said in a release.
CBSE has further stated that all the documents are digitally signed and have PKI based QR code for authentication. Through a specially designed mobile app, these academic documents can be easily verified. Through its 16 regional offices, the record of students is usually maintained.
“Many organisations are sending requests to CBSE headquarters, Delhi for verification, and thus, work of verification is delayed,” the CBSE release added.
The CBSE is also giving API to higher educational institutions and government employees for bulk verification, if required. Every year, nearly 35 lakh students are appearing in board examination conducted by the CBSE.
