The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dispelled rumours circulating online regarding the imminent announcement of Class 10 and Class 12 examination results. Contrary to claims on social media, a senior CBSE official has confirmed that the result date has not yet been finalised.
The senior CBSE official further clarified that the social media posts circulating are fake.
Official Sources Only
Students and parents are urged to disregard speculative reports and to consult official websites such as cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in for reliable updates. Historically, the CBSE results are usually released in the second week of May. In 2024, results were made public on 13 May, a likely timeline for this year, though no formal statement has been issued.
Examinations and Result Protocols
This year, over 4.4 million students participated in the examinations, with 2.412 million from Class 10 and 1.788 million from Class 12. The results for both cohorts are generally announced at the same time. Students will be able to view provisional score reports online using their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth. Original mark sheets will be distributed by respective schools later.
In 2024, the passing rate for Class 12 was 87.98%, and for Class 10, it was 93.60%, both reflecting an upward trend from the prior year. The CBSE cautions against propagating unverified information, notably on platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram, where inaccurate result updates have been prevalent.
