The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the academic session 2021-22 had held two boards for Class 10 and Class 12 and the final result evaluation will include both term 1 and term 2 results. However, around 30 lakh students who are awaiting their results are urging the board to consider calculating marks on “best of either term” basis instead of the current system to include marks of both terms.

Many CBSE students from Std X and XII have taken to Twitter including many from Odisha to press for their demand of ‘best of either term’, rather than the current plan to include marks of both terms.

The students have posted messages on social media, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the CBSE authorities to consider their demand.

“We are an experimental batch we've already suffered a lot so kindly please do justice for us. We want best of either terms. We want justice,” tweeted a student.

"Most of the CBSE students including me are demanding best of either terms subject wise as lots of experiments were done on us. Now it's about our life and future. We want #BestOfEitherTermsSubjectWise,” wrote another student on social media.

“The 2021-2022 session turned out to be a mess. Everyone will say marks don’t matter but at the end of the day these same people will compare on the basis of marks,” tweeted another.

The students also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan in their posts and CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi to consider their demand.
