AICTE Directs Universities to Adopt Standardised format for PG Certificates

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued an important notice regarding the issuance of Postgraduate (PG) certificates. In a letter to the vice-chancellors, registrars, directors and all affiliated universities, the AICTE has directed to adopt standardised model format for issuing the PG certificates.

In its letter, the AICTE has stated that universities and institutions offering Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes under the purview of the Council must adopt the uniform format.

Sample: M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Machine Design)

AICTE has clearly stated that all universities must adopt this uniform format for M.Tech degrees. Similarly, the main branch of students should be clearly stated, followed by the specialisation.

The universities have been asked to ensure strict compliance with this latest directive in all future certificates issued for postgraduate degrees, starting from this academic session.

According to AICTE, the adoption of this standardised format will streamline the certification process and contribute to a more transparent and professional presentation of qualifications across the country.
