Today, we will learn about the inspiring journey of IAS Smriti Mishra who cracked the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022 with an astounding All India Rank (AIR)-4 in her third attempt despite two failed attempts. After devoting three years of her life, Smriti Mishra’s hard work finally paid off with an unbeatable rank of AIR-4.
Hailing from Bareilly, Smriti completed her schooling in Agra and went on to graduate in B.Sc from Miranda House College, Delhi University. Inspired by her father, Smriti knew her call from her teenage and always wanted to become an IAS officer.
“Prelims have evolved and are not simple to crack. Consistent practice of previous year’s question papers, hold on comprehension is a must,” Smriti was quoted as saying by News18.
“I focused on content enrichment, used multiple examples, cited facts that could be used in other answers as well, gave 30 minutes for each answer, used diagrams, flowchart and wrote quotes and case studies for ethics examination,” she further stated.
She revealed that she also read two newspapers every day and composed notes out of them. Self-written notes and current affairs and previous year’s question papers came in handy for her. However, she took guidance from the notes and answer scripts of toppers of previous years and compared it with herself.
