New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday revamped her Cabinet, dropping Mangat Ram Singhal who was holding the Social Welfare portfolio and inducted MLA Ramakant Goswami as a minister.

The new portfolios of all her five ministers will be announced later.

The reshuffle, that is expected to witness portfolios being redistributed, is the first such exercise by the Chief Minister in her third term in office.

The new Cabinet was sworn in at Raj Bhawan, with 67-year-old legislator from Rajender Nagar constituency and a Dikshit loyalist Goswami taking oath.

The reshuffle comes at a time when Dikshit is completing almost two years in office.

The revenue portfolio, currently being held by Raj Kumar Chauhan may go to AK Walia who is currently holding the Finance portfolio, sources said.

They indicated that Arvinder Singh Lovely, who is holding the education portfolio, may be given another department.

Iran Walia, at present in-charge of Woman and Child Welfare, may lose the Health department.

Dikshit held a series of meetings yesterday to finalise the exercise.
