In the latest development in the much-hyped lady blackmailer Archana Nag case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to investigate the money transactions done by Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand.

According to sources familiar with the development, the ED has already started the process in this connection. A meeting among high-level officials has also been convened. The job of the agency will be to trace the sources from where the couple earned such huge money. Soon the ED will collect all the required information from the Commissionerate Police.

Notably, it has been discussed that money from political leaders, ministers and other bigwigs flew into the accounts of Archana and her husband. The ED may investigate why they gave money to the couple.

It is worth mentioning here that, the lady blackmailer and his husband met each other at Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. The meeting, the first one since Archana's arrest, lasted for 15 minutes. It is not clear as yet what the couple discussed.

On charges of honey trapping bigwigs and extorting huge amounts of money from them, the Commisionerate of Police arrested Archana on October 6 and her husband on October 22.

Meanwhile, the state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an indefinite strike in front of the Commissionerate Police office, demanding an investigation against Minister Samir Dash for his alleged link in Dharmendra Sahu suicide case and proper investigation in Archana Nag case.
