The partial lockdown in Odisha will continue for the next two weeks till 6 am on August 1, informed Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra on Thursday.

However, there will be some relaxations in the lockdown conditions, Mahaparta said. The new guidelines will come into effect from 6 am on Friday.
While shops in 20 Category A district will remain open from 7 am to 8 pm, in Category B districts (coastal districts) the shops will open from 7 am to 5 pm, informed Mahapatra. As per the existing lockdown norms, shops in Category B districts are allowed to operate between 6 am and 2 pm.
However, the weekend shutdowns , which will come into effect from 5 pm on Fridays, will continue till 6 am on Monday only in Category B districts, he added. Similarly, night curfew will be in place in 10 Category B district.
Bus, taxi and auto rickshaw services will resume across the State. However, no bus services will be allowed to Puri till July 25 in view of Ratha Jatra. In the other districts, buses will be ply with seating capacity while no standing passenger will be allowed.
While gyms, parlours, spas and salons will reopen from tomorrow across Odisha in adherence to COVID-19 protocols, schools, cinema halls, parks, exhibitions, jatra and malls will remain closed across the State.
Marriage ceremony and funeral restrictions will continue to remain in force while bars will remain closed. Restaurants will be allowed takeaways only and not eating will be allowed in the premises, said the Chief Secretary.
