Odisha Reports 40 New COVID-19 Cases

Odisha registered 40 more coronavirus cases on Saturday, pushing the tally to 12,87,701, the health department said.

The daily positivity rate was 0.10 per cent and the 40 new infections were detected out of 39,291 samples tested, it said.

The COVID-19 death toll remained at 9,121 as no fresh fatality was reported, the bulletin said. Fifty-three other coronavirus patients have died due to comorbidities so far, according to data.

Odisha currently has 365 active COVID-19 cases, while 12,78,162 people have recuperated from the disease so far, including 41 in the last 24 hours.

The state had logged 21 new COVID-19 cases and zero fatality on Friday.
