Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday issued guidelines for Covid-19 vaccination at workplaces, both private as well as in government sectors, to speed up the immunisation drive.
According to a notification issued by the State Health and Family Welfare department, industrial establishments can vaccinate their employees and their family members in their hospitals by procuring vaccines of their own or if hospital is not available, they can arrange the inoculation in a work place tagging with a private hospital CVC.

Private hospitals can also procure vaccine directly from the manufacturers to vaccinate 18-44 years and 45 years and above citizens, the notification read.

To accelerate the Covid-19 vaccination drive, following clarification has been issued by MoHFW:
i. The family members and dependents of the workers, as defined by the respective employers, can also be covered with COVID-19 vaccination at the industrial CVCs, private workplace CVCs and the govt work place CVCs.
ii. For Industrial CVCs and private workplace CVCs, for covering the beneficiaries (Employee and family members), the vaccine doses will have to be procured by the private hospitals or the industrial establishment with whom respective employer tie up for vaccination.
iii. For govt. work place CVC, beneficiaries of 45 years & above may be covered through govt of India vaccine supply and 18-44 years age group may be covered through State govt vaccine supply.
