Odisha on Monday reported 1637 more COVID cases taking the cumulative cases in the State closer to the 10 Lakh mark at 969185, informed State Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department.
With this, the total active cases in Odisha climbed to 1838.
Taking to Twitter, the department mentioned that out of the 1637 positive cases, 949 patients were reported from quarantine centres while 688 were local contact cases.
Both Khordha and Cuttack districts reported 350 and 250 positive cases respectively on the same day.
Similarly, Deogarh 4, Dhenkanal 50, Ganjam 16, Jagatsinghpur 85, Jajpur 80, Jharsuguda 6, Kalahandi 7, Kandhamal 36, Kendrapada 76, Keonjhar 18, Koraput 9, Malkangiri 9 and Mayurbhanj reported 75 positive cases.
Earlier on Sunday, 2108 patients recuperated from the disease.
As far as the testing numbers are concerned, 1,56,56,204 COVID tests have been done in the State till now, informed the department.
