Micro Containment Zone Declared In Cuttack After 6 Of Family Test Positive For Covid-19
After a brief gap, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Monday imposed micro-containment measures after six new Covid-19 cases were reported from a locality.
As per reports, all the six new Covid-19 cases have been reported from one house in Gopandhu Vihar area of Nua Rausapatna area of the city. The house has been declared a micro-containment zone.
CMC officials said all the six persons, who have tested positive for Covid-19, belong to one family. The house of the concerned family has been declared micro-containment zone to put a check on any further the spread of the virus.
All the essential items including medicines will be provided to the concerned family with assistance from a nodal officer.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Odisha government has directed district Collectors, Municipal Commissioners to take appropriate containment measures to put a check on the spread of Covid-19.
On December 22, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) had declared four flats (Flat No. G-151, G-132, G-142 and G-112) of Cosmopolis Apartment in Ward No 64 of the Capital city as containment zone following the detection of Covid-19 cases.
Prior to that, the BMC had declared a portion of Jayadurga Nagar in Bomikhal as a containment zone following the detection of two Covid positive persons in the area.
