Bhubaneswar: The alleged insensitivity of hospital authorities in providing health information of Covid-19 patient to their relatives seems to be adding to the woes of people in Odisha with instances of kins of Covid victims getting repeated calls from hospital help desks claiming that the patients are doing well coming to fore from across the State.

As per reports, 55-year-old Gopal Pandey from Bargarh district was admitted to a COVID hospital in the district on April 27, 2021. However, Gopal died while undergoing treatment the very next day. Just four days after his death, on May 3, a phone call came for Gopal on his relative’s number from the COVID hospital where he was admitted asking him about Gopal’s well-being.
