The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine being linked to rare adverse side effects has sparked health concerns worldwide, especially in India where Covishield was given to a large part of the population. The pharmaceutical giant that made Covishield has admitted that its vaccine can lead to rare side effects called TTS or Thrombosis.
Meanwhile, popular actor Shreyas Talpade, who suffered a cardiac arrest and had a miracle survival, has opened up about the possibility of the attack being the side effect of taking the Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking to Lehren Retro, Shreyas questioned, “I don’t smoke. I’m not a regular drinker, I drink perhaps once a month. No tobacco, no diabetes, no blood pressure, nothing, then what could be the reason?”
“I would not negate the theory. It was only after the COVID-19 vaccination is when I started experiencing some fatigue and tiredness. There has to be some amount of truth, and we cannot negate the theory. Maybe it is Covid-19 or the vaccine, but there is something associated post that… it is very unfortunate because we genuinely don’t know what we have taken inside our bodies. We went with the flow and trusted the companies. I never heard of such incidents before Covid-19,” Shreyas added.
“I was never hospitalized in my life before. I didn’t see this coming. Jaan hai toh Jahaan hai. As a nation, we are not high on preventive care,” he added.
Shreyas Talpade who made his debut with Iqbal is known for films like Om Shanti Om, Dor, Golmaal 3, Kaun Pravin Tambe? And Housefull 2 among others.
Not just Shreyas Talpade, a young couple has alleged that their daughter died after being administered with Covishield vaccine during the pandemic. The parents of the girl are planning to sue the vaccine makers as well as the British pharma giant.
“Serum Institute of India and Adar Poonawalla will have to answer for their sins. For the lives lost,” the girl's parents said in an X post also accusing the government authorities for approving the rollout of the vaccine.
