Bolangir: The district police has nabbed a gang of three including one woman who have duped lakhs of rupees from simple villagers by promising jobs and providing easy loans. When the villagers regularly asked about the delay in sanctioning of loans, the trio made decamped with lakhs of rupeess and the villagers filed complaints with the sadar police.Said Savitri Sethi, a woman victim from Kushmail,"The three persons came to our village and assured us that they will provide us hefty loans. We then deposited money with them towards down-payment for sanction of loans."

The trion resurfaced after a few months of their escape and again started distributing leaflets in several other villagers raising suspicion among the Sadar police. The leaflets said that the organisation Jan Kalyan Yuva Parishad would help form SHGs, farmers` clubs and micro finance organisations apart from providing jobs to unemployed youths including girls.
