New Delhi: Taking a dig at BJP over the porn clip controversy in Karnataka, Congress today said this shows the "hiatus" between preaching and practice by the Opposition party.

The three BJP ministers, who were engulfed in a row over watching sleazy clippings during the Assembly proceedings, put in their papers today bowing to the directives of the party central leadership.

"From corruption to pornography they have the entire spectrum and range available in BJP in Karnataka. This shows the hiatus between preaching and practice by BJP," party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi told PTI.

Minister for Cooperation Laxman Savadi, Minister for Women and Child Development C C Patil and Minister for Ports and Science and Technology Krishna Palemar announced their decision to quit after a meeting with top leaders, saying they don`t want the party and the government to face further embarrassment.

Savadi and Patil were caught yesterday while they were allegedly viewing the porno video footage inside the state assembly, an incident that battered the image of the Sadananda Gowda Government and BJP, evoking widespread condemnation across the state.
