Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh BJP on Tuesday dubbed Union Home Minister P Chidamabaram`s statement over Telangana issue as a "dilly-dallying tactic" by the Centre.

"Chidambaram`s remark is nothing but a dilly-dallying tactic by the Central government on the issue of Telangana," state AP BJP General Secretary N Ramachander Rao said in a statement issued here.

He was reacting to Chidambaram`s statement on Tuesday that movement towards a decision on the Telangana issue will take place after the Eid-ul-Zuha festival.

Rao alleged that the Congress had betrayed the people of Telangana and was not taking the separate statehood issue seriously.
