Congress asks Nitish to remove Modi
Patna: Congress on Friday mounted attack on Bihar Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi for giving a clean-chit to slain BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshari instead of waiting for completion of investigation and asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to remove him from the cabinet immediately.
"Modi has given a clean chit to the slaim MLA despite a complaint of sexual harassment by the accused, Rupam Pathak," Bihar PCC spokesperson Premchandra Mishra told newsmen here.
Alleging that Modi is still trying to influence the course of investigation, Mishra demanded that the chief minister should either order a judicial inquiry or a CBI probe into the case.
Mishra also castigated the BJP leaders for describing Rupam Pathak as a `mentally unfit` woman and said "It is part of the attempt to save the image of the party."
