New Delhi: Congress on Thursday refused to react to Anna Hazare`s threat to stage protest outside the residences of party President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, saying it would comment when necessary.

"If warranted, we will come out with a reaction," Congress spokesman Manish Tewari said when asked to comment on Hazare`s threat.

On whether the Lokpal Bill would be tabled in Parliament during the current session, he counselled patience as efforts were underway to evolve consensus.

"It is a matter of patience. Efforts are on to evolve consensus," he said.

The all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday failed to reach consensus with divergent views being expressed on various key elements of the Bill, including the fate of CBI and bringing lower bureaucracy under purview of the anti-graft ombudsman.
