India is rapidly outpacing global competitors in wireless technologies and semiconductor design, driving innovation and new product development worldwide, said Chris Ripley, President and CEO of Sinclair, ahead of the Semicon India 2025 event scheduled to begin tomorrow.
Ripley highlighted India’s unmatched technical expertise, adding that Sinclair has made significant investments in the country to develop next-generation wireless solutions.
“India’s talent is second to none. We’ve invested substantially here to create cutting-edge wireless technologies. This tablet I’m holding is powered by a D2M chip, designed entirely in India, a prime example of how the country is setting benchmarks in critical wireless technology and semiconductor design, and helping shape innovation not just in the US but across the globe,” Ripley said.
Sinclair, a leading US-based news media conglomerate, is among several global firms strengthening ties with India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Semicon India 2025 on Tuesday at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The flagship event is aimed at accelerating the growth of India’s semiconductor sector. The Prime Minister will also join a roundtable with top industry CEOs as part of the event’s key sessions.
