The retail inflation in India eased to a three-month low of 6.77 per cent in October, sharply down from a five-month high of 7.41 per cent in September, riding on weaker food price rises and a strong year-on-year base, the Central government data showed on Monday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) based retail inflation has remained above the 6 per cent target since January this year.
