The new GST 2.0 regime has brought cheer to Royal Enfield buyers, with popular models like the Hunter 350, Bullet 350, and Classic 350 becoming significantly more affordable. Interestingly, the revised prices of these motorcycles now make them cheaper than Apple’s latest iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max currently retails between Rs 1,49,900 and Rs 2,29,900 in India. In contrast, Royal Enfield’s 350cc range now falls in the Rs 1,37,640 to Rs 2,15,750 (ex-showroom) bracket.
While customers still need to factor in additional expenses such as road tax, insurance, and registration, most variants will still be priced below the top-end iPhone’s Rs 2.29 lakh tag. Only a few premium trims of the Bullet and Classic exceed that mark.
The price drop follows the GST rationalisation, under which motorcycles up to 350cc have moved to the 18% tax slab from the earlier 28%. This change has effectively reduced the ex-showroom cost of these bikes by around 8.2%, with the revised rates applicable from September 22.
For reference, the Hunter 350, Bullet 350, and Classic 350 all share Royal Enfield’s J-Series 349cc single-cylinder, air-oil cooled engine producing 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Before GST 2.0, the Hunter 350 was priced between Rs 1,49,900 and Rs 1,81,750. Post-revision, its price band now stands at Rs 1,37,640 to Rs 1,66,883 (ex-showroom).
With smartphones like the iPhone inching closer to luxury motorcycle territory, the new pricing makes Royal Enfield’s iconic bikes an even more attractive proposition for enthusiasts.
