Amid the fluctuation in gold and silver rates across the country, the price for 24-carat gold per 10 gram reached Rs 53,550 on Thursday in twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack with a decrease of Rs 200 from Wednesday’s price.
For 23-carat, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal is Rs 51,600while the rate of 22-carat gold reached 50,600.
Similarly, the rate of 20, 18 and 14-carat gold remained at Rs 45700, Rs 41400 and Rs 32800, respectively. Pure Ginni (gold coin) is being traded at Rs 41,600.
Meanwhile, gold is being traded at Rs 5,355 per gram (GST 995) and at Rs 5,190 (Cash 995) in Cuttack.
On the other hand, one kilogram of silver is being sold at Rs 60,500 in Bhubaneswar, following a decrease of Rs 200 from Tuesday’s price of Rs 60,700.
Notably, the price of gold varies for different regions based on certain parameters such as the excise duty, making charges and state taxes.
The updated Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) figures reveal that gold futures, which will mature on 5 October 2022, fell by 0.58 per cent to Rs 51,864.00. Silver futures, which will mature on 5 September this year, also saw a decline of 1.02 per cent and settled at Rs 57,390.00.
