Amid the fluctuation in gold and silver rates across the country, the price for 24-carat gold per 10 gram reached Rs 52,900 in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday with an increase of Rs 200 against Monday’s price.
For 23-carat, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal reached Rs 50,900 while the rate of 22-carat gold reached Rs 49,900.
Similarly, the rate of 20, 18 and 14-carat gold remained at Rs 45100
, Rs 40900 and Rs 32400, respectively. Pure Ginni (gold coin) is being traded at Rs 41,200 on Friday.
Meanwhile, gold is being traded at Rs 5,355 per gram (GST 995) and at Rs 5,210 (Cash 995) in Cuttack.
On the other hand, the price of one kilogram of silver remain steady on Tuesday and is being sold at Rs 56,500 in Bhubaneswar.
Notably, factors such as state taxes, excise duty, and making charges lead to changes in the price of gold in India.
The rupee depreciated 36 paise to 79.51 against the US dollar in opening trade on Thursday, as disappointing macroeconomic data and US-China tensions weighed on investor sentiment.
In the international market, gold was trading higher at USD 1,774 per ounce while silver was flat at USD 20.12 per ounce.
