The Japanese bike manufacturer, Yamaha has unveiled the smallest member of its family, YZF-R125.
Powering the Yamaha R125 is a single-cylinder 125cc engine with the output rated at 14.8bhp at 9000 rpm and 11.5Nm at 8000 rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and owners can also fit an optional quickshifter.
On the suspension front, it gets a pair of KYB 41 mm USD forks up front, and a monoshock at the back, while braking duties are handled by a 292 mm disc up front and 220 mm disc at the rear.
As per a report by the Car and Bike, this bike features a 5-inch full colour TFT instrument panel, with bluetooth connectivity and a host of smart features. Yamaha will also offer a mobile app, through which users can access rider analytics on their smartphones.
While the price of the motorbike is yet to be revealed by Yamaha, it is still unknown if the bike will see an India launch anytime soon.
However, for the digital instrument cluster lovers, the good news is the manufacturer is more likely to update the R15 currently in sale in India, with the same 5-inch full colour TFT instrument panel as on the R125.
R15 V4 is likely to be launched early next year in India and it will succeed the current V3 in sale.
