Jeep India on Wednesday launched a new special edition of its premium compact SUV Compass to celebrate its 5th anniversary in India.
The special edition Compass will sport a ‘5th Anniversary’ badge including body-coloured fender flares, black window trims and grey roof rails, reported Team BHP.
It is priced at Rs24.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
As per a report in the Team BHP, the anniversary edition of Compass will come with 18-inch Granite Crystal alloy wheels, grey ORVMs and a new gloss black grille with grey inserts.
As part of a separate package from the regular Compass, the anniversary edition comes with a two-toned dark grey contrast roof, full LED package projector headlamps and a striking alloy design available in a variety of body-coloured styles and finishes.
As far as the interiors are concerned, the Compass Anniversary edition will come with 8-way electronically adjustable leather seats with ventilation for additional comfort and also a memory function that remembers your preferred seating position. In addition to these, it also offers a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and nine-speaker Uconnect audio system
The Compass 5th Anniversary edition will be offered with two engine options. These include the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the 2.0-litre diesel paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The four-wheel-drive version is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel and mated to a 9-speed automatic.
Earlier to its launch, the SUV maker has been teasing the latest edition of Compass in Twitter inviting the Compass owners to share their memorable pictures with the vehicle using the hashtag, #5YearsOfAdventure.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the parent of Jeep, began its India operations in 2016 with the launch of the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, as CBU (completely built unit) models. However Jeep officially started making cars in India in 2017 with the Compass.
