The Audi India teased the New 2022 Q3 ahead of its tentative launch in September this year.
Releasing the new teaser in the micro blogging site, Audi India tweeted, “A concrete view has taken over our days and now even our holidays. All we need is a way to see beyond what the world sees. A way beyond, coming very soon to your city.”
After the introduction of the 2022 Audi A8 L luxury sedan last month, the New Q3 is touted to be its next big product.
Pertinent to mention here that the 2022 Audi Q3 has been on sale in the European markets since 2019 but came to India only now due to the delay with the pandemic.
As per a report in the Car & Bike, the 2022 Audi Q3 will replace the Audi Q2 premium crossover in the company’s India portfolio as a single petrol engine offering with refreshed exterior styling along with an updated cabin and features.
The second-generation Audi Q3 looks much sportier than its predecessor thanks to the striking single frame in octagon design divided up by vertical bars, along with the large front grill. The sleek Matrix LED headlights run inwards with their wedge shape. The profile balances the exterior design with the symmetrical lighting graphics of the headlights and rear lights. The contours draw their inspiration from Audi’s Quattro DNA and make the SUV seem even wider. The long roof edge spoiler flanks the rear window at the side, with a steeply raked C pillar, the Car & Bike reported.
As far as the engine specification goes, the 2022 Audi Q3 premium compact SUV will feature a 2.0-litre petrol engine in the Q3 45 TFSI derivative that develops 228 bhp and 350 Nm, paired to a 7-speed S Tronic and Quattro drive system. It does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 233 kmph.
Audi’s current SUV line-up comprises of the Q2, Q5, Q8 and RS Q8. The line-up had recently seen an addition of the e-tron, which happens to be the first electric SUV from the German automaker. The line-up will expand further this year by the introduction of Q3 and Q7.
The 2022 Audi Q3 will rival the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40 in the Indian market.
