Boy shot dead

Buddhadeb Mohanta was shot dead by the unidentified miscreants on Friday night at his home in Soharai village on the outskirts of Raiganj town, the sources said.

The miscreants came in three bikes and fired at Mohanta, when his mother came to his rescue they also attacked her. She has been admitted to hospital at Raiganj, the sources said.

Local people alleged that Mohanta had a love affair with a rich girl and this was resented by the girl`s father. They alleged that the girl`s father had hired the goons to kill Mohanta. Police sources said they are investigating the matter.
