Bear’s day out: Perched atop tree, bear gives locals horrid time

Bolangir: A bear which climbed atop a tree after attacking a woman from Bichuali village under Belpara block of Bolangir district gave a nightmare to the villagers who tried to capture the carnivore.

According to sources, the bear attacked and injured a woman of the village following which the villagers tried to round up the animal. However, the frightened bear climbed on to a 40-feet-long tree to avoid captivity.

After repeated attempts, the villagers finally gave up and till last reports came in, the forest department officials had been called to rescue the bear.
