Nayagarh: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence here, official sources informed on Friday.

The ASI has been identified as Trinath Dora of Banigochha Police Station here.

According to reports, Dora had committed suicide late night on Thursday by hanging himself from the ceiling of his verandah at his residence.

Following the incident, Magistrate of Daspalla has reached the spot. Family members of Dora who stay in Chatrapur have not arrived at Dora’s residence in Nayagarh.
