Two persons killed in tragic road accident in Ganjam

At least two persons riding a two-wheeler died after their vehicle collided with a bus head-on near the College square area under Kotinda police limits in Aska of Ganjam district on Sunday.

Though the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the duo hails from Berhampur. Police have started the process of conducting the post-mortem.

As per reports, both the deceased were riding a two-wheeler and died after their vehicle dashed against a passenger bus that was en route to Bhubaneswar from Aska.

It is pertinent to mention here that several parts of Odisha experienced dense fog conditions. It is suspected that the mishap occurred due to poor visibility conditions.

Meanwhile, the driver of the bus has been detained and further investigation is being carried out by police in connection with the accident.
