As many as 25 passengers were injured while two others were rendered critical after a bus ferrying them overturned at Mukundapur Ghat in Odisha’s Rayagada district. The vehicle, travelling from Hinjilicut to Tikiri overturned after losing balance on the treacherous terrain.
It is reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle which led to the mishap in the ghat, a steep hilly area characteristic of Rayagada. Local authorities confirmed that all injured passengers were quickly taken to Rayagada's district headquarters hospital (DHH) for urgent medical assistance.

In another tragic road mishap, a vehicle from the Keonjhar Police's Special Squad was involved in a crash on the Anandpur-Bhadrak road in Odisha. The incident occurred near Charinalia, leading to injuries among three police officers.
