Muzaffarnagar: A local court has sentenced two persons to ten years imprisonment for smuggling wine.

Additional district sessions judge Ramesh Chand Diwaker also imposed a fine of Rs 28,000 each on accused Praveen Kumar and Bhushan after holding them guilty of smuggling.

According to prosecution, the excise department had apprehended the duo and seized a large quantity of wine from their possession along with a car on the Kandhla-Budhana road in the district.
