Accused in Multiple Terror and Criminal Cases

Anmol Bishnoi, who hails from Fazilka in Punjab, is wanted in 22 cases in Rajasthan and is a key accused in the murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique. He has been absconding since 2022, having fled India via Nepal before travelling through several countries and eventually entering the US.

In a detailed statement, the NIA said Anmol had been actively involved in executing terror activities from abroad. “He had aided designated individual terrorists Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in various acts of terrorism across India between 2020 and 2023,” the agency noted.

Ran a Terror Syndicate from Overseas

According to the NIA, Anmol coordinated closely with his brother Lawrence and gang associate Goldy Brar, continuing to run terror syndicates from the US using operatives in India. His arrest marks the 19th detention linked to the Bishnoi-led terror network.

Conclusion

Anmol’s return and subsequent custody represent a major step forward in dismantling one of India’s most entrenched terror-crime syndicates. With the NIA intensifying its probe, more revelations are expected in the coming days.
