The strikes were launched in retaliation for the joint US-Israel air operations on Saturday that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior military leaders. In a social media post, PM Modi said he “strongly condemned the attacks on the UAE” and expressed condolences for the loss of lives. He affirmed that India stands in solidarity with the Emirates and supports de-escalation, regional peace, security, and stability. PM Modi also thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the welfare of the Indian community there.

Indian Nationals Affected, Regional Outreach Intensifies

An Indian national was among 58 foreign workers injured in the Iranian strikes since Saturday. According to the UAE defence ministry, three nationals from Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan were killed in the attacks.
