Vijay, a resident of Meerut, had ordered chicken curry from the well-known local eatery Kake Da Hotel through Zomato. Halfway through his meal, he reportedly spotted a dead lizard in the gravy. The repulsive discovery immediately made him vomit, after which he was rushed to hospital.

The incident came to light after a video was shared on X, quickly going viral. The footage shows food spilled across the floor, the dead lizard lying beside half-eaten containers, and Vijay resting in a semi-conscious state on a bed. The man filming narrates that Vijay unknowingly ate a portion of the lizard before realising what was in his food.
