Massive explosion reported near Red Fort in Delhi
A massive explosion in a car near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening has left at least ten people dead. In contrast, over 30 people have been left battling for their lives, causing panic among nearby residents and commuters. The death toll is expected to rise as many others are in critical condition, sources said.
Visuals showed a huge crowd around the site with multiple vehicles on fire. Another video showed a van with its doors blown off, a completely mangled car, another with a smashed windscreen, and several injured people on the ground.

According to the Delhi Fire Department, they received an emergency call regarding a blast near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station. The explosion reportedly led to a fire that spread to three or four nearby vehicles, causing damage to them.
“A call was received regarding an explosion in a car near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, after which three to four vehicles also caught fire and sustained damage,” the Delhi Fire Department stated.
Fire tenders and police teams were immediately dispatched to the site, and the flames were brought under control swiftly.
The affected area has been sealed off, and forensic teams are conducting a detailed examination to identify the source and nature of the explosion. Authorities are also probing the possibility of any suspicious or deliberate activity behind the incident.
