India marked its 75th Constitution Day with a solemn ceremony at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu released a digital version of the Constitution of India in nine languages, including Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia and Assamese. A commemorative booklet titled ‘Bharat ke Samvidhan mein Kala aur Calligraphy’ was also unveiled.
The event was attended by Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and several other dignitaries.
President Murmu address the gathering
Addressing the gathering, President Murmu recalled the historic adoption of the Constitution on November 26, 1949, in the same hall. She paid tribute to Dr B.R. Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly, stating that the Constitution has ensured India’s self-respect and dignity while safeguarding democratic and personal rights. She said women, youth, SCs, STs, farmers and the middle class are strengthening India’s democracy, and highlighted lifting 25 crore people out of poverty as a major national achievement.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said the Constitution guarantees justice, equality, dignity and fraternity, calling the Central Hall a sacred space where India’s aspirations were shaped through extensive debate.

Vice President Radhakrishnan underlined the Constitution’s unifying spirit, stating it proves that “Bharat is one and will remain one forever,” urging collective efforts toward a Viksit Bharat during Amrit Kaal.
