Woman, paramour held for murder

Muzaffarnagar: A woman and her paramour were on Monday arrested for allegedly murdering her husband at Ramnagar village in Shamli district, police said.

The deceased's wife Siti and her paramour Anil Kumar were arrested after they confessed to the crime before the police during the course of their investigation, Superintendent of Police Anil Rai told newspersons here.

Jogender was allegedly shot dead when he opposed the illicit relationship of his wife with another man on October 9, 2013.

In another incident, a domestic help was allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons when he had gone to a field?at Behta village in Shamli district, police said today.

35-year-old Virender was shot dead yesterday, they said.

A case has been registered in this connection and the body was sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that further investigation is on.
