Odisha govt to constitute Law Revision Commission soon

According to the Minister, the unnecessary and irrelevant laws need to be changed and it could only be done by constituting the Law Revision Commission.

Odisha government will constitute a Law Revision Commission soon, informed Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Wednesday.

According to the Minister, the unnecessary and irrelevant laws need to be changed and it could only be done by constituting the Law Revision Commission.

The Minister further said that the laws based on which the government runs need to be renewed and hence Law Revision Commission will be constituted within a month or 45 days.

“Odisha government is going to constitute a new Law Revision Commission soon. By constituting the Law Revision Commission, the irrelevant and unnecessary acts could be changed. We will also deliberate and try to bring the required amendments in the Right To Information Act enacted in 2005,” said Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan.

“The government will also take proper decisions on the cases registered to intimidate the RTI activists,” he added.
