Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh unit of BJP today said it would launch a state-wide agitation from Friday on corruption and price rise issues.

"BJP will launch a state-wide agitation against corruption and price rise from tomorrow...demonstrations will be held at tehsil and block level offices and centres," party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here.

He said issues of high prices of fertilisers and its unavailability, non-procurement of paddy, power crisis would be raised during the demonstrations. "After this `BJP lao UP bachchao (vote for BJP to save UP)` campaign will be launched from December 1-15 during which party workers will expose the corruption of the BSP government and its anti-democratic policies," Pathak said.

Public meetings would be organised in all assembly segments across the state to create awareness among people on corruption and scams of Mayawati government, he said.
