Two held in connection with ink throwing incident

New Delhi: Two men were detained here this evening after supporters of yoga guru Ramdev threw ink at Congress chief Sonia Gandhi`s poster during a protest outside AICC headquarters. Police said Narendra from Kanjhawala and Tribhuwan from Mehrauli were detained in connection with the incident which took place outside Congress office.

“Around 20-25 supporters of Baba Ramdev had come to 24, Akbar Road, and threw blak paint on the poster with photograph of Sonia Gandhi. They also raised anti-Congress and anti-Sonia slogans,” police said. A case under Section 153 of IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc) was registered.
