Chandigarh: All voting-related information would be easily available for voters in all districts in Haryana through touchscreens, the state's Chief Electoral Officer Rajeev Ranjan said on Sunday.

Ranjan, after inaugurating the first voting related touchscreen set up in Kurukshetra, nearly 100 km from here, said that similar touchscreens would be set up across Haryana.

The CEO said the procedure of getting vote-related information just by touching the screen has been started and the same would be installed at various public places, including offices, bus stands and facilitation centres.

"Through the medium of this screen, the voter could get information such as vote, booth number, place of booth, EPIC number, assembly number, Vidhan Sabha constituency and vote-related information about all members of a family," Ranjan said, adding that the information can also be received on mobile phone.

Lok Sabha elections for 10 parliamentary seats in Haryana are due on May 12.
