Hyderabad: Amid tight security arrangements, the railways today succeeded in running over 50 passenger and express trains on the second day of the `rail roko` agitation over Telangana statehood demand, even as some trains continue to remain cancelled.

The rail roko went off peacefully, barring a few incidents and 715 persons were taken into preventive custody in different Telangana districts like Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Medak and also in the state capital after police registered 54 cases against the agitators, police said.
