New Delhi:  In a move to minimise the revenge killing of wild animals due to human-wildlife conflicts, the state governments and Union Territories (UTs) have been advised to make swift payments of ex-gratia to the victims, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change said.

In a letter, the ministry has urged the state governments and UTs to review their ex-gratia amount with each other and bring the compensation at par.
