Patna: Soni Kumari, who had miraculously survived the Nepal earthquake last month with other national team members, will lead a 20-member Bihar team in first Sub-Junior National Girls Football championship to be held in Cuttack from May 8 to 24.

The 14-year-old girl was leading the national team in the Asian Football Confederation Cup in Nepal when a massive quake rocked capital Kathmandu on April 25.

The Indian team members, including Kumari, had escaped unhurt by staying on the ground, the venue of the Asian Football Confederation Cup.
