New Delhi: In a bid to ensure better policing, Delhi Police is soon coming up with a new single window system for public interaction at one of its model police stations in the capital.

In a first of its kind in the city, Subhash Place Police Station in North-West Delhi will soon have an `Automated Police Complaint Registration and Responding Solution` which will be a single window platform to attend to citizens` needs.

A senior police official said the new system will help in better streamlining of the functioning of police as well as aiding public who approach the facility for various needs like filing a complaint or seeking help in some other matters.

"This is part of our modernisation programme. To begin with, we selected a model police station," the official said.

A tender has been floated for developing the software for the system. "For this, an integrated software module of IVRS, touch screen and database application have to be designed and developed for single window clearance, registration, follow-up and entry at police station," the official said. It will be a bi-lingual application, he said.
