Sharad Yadav bats for ending logjam
"There is an all-party meet on FDI issue. My effort is that Parliament should now function after days of disruption," Yadav told PTI here.
The statement of Yadav, who is JD (U) President, as BJP has kept its cards close to its chest on the strategy over the controversial FDI issue.
The talk is that a section of the opposition still favours an adjournment motion on the FDI issue to censure the government. Congress on its part has issued a three-line whip to its members in the Lok Sabha for tomorrow and day after to meet any contingency.
Yadav said Parliament should run as several issues like price rise, blackmoney and Lokpal Bill needed to be discussed.
He also said that he was talking to various political parties in a bid to create consensus on smooth running of Parliament.
Asked if the government does not agree with Opposition`s demand for a complete rollback on its decision to allow FDI in multi-brand retail, Yadav indicated he was more inclined towards functioning of Parliament.
"I am in talks with others and trying to build a consensus on running the House," he said.
