A UPSC aspirant in Delhi has ignited a debate on social media after he was demanded Rs 10,000 as rent for a 4-5ft tiny room with just one bed and a study table. Interestingly, the cramped tiny room in Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar, known for UPSC preparation, described as ‘premium’.
This assertion has raised eyebrows online, with netizens on social media questioning the high rent given the room’s size and lack of a window or door. A UPSC aspirant who is in Delhi to start his UPSC coaching took to his X handle and shared a picture of the room and wrote, “This is premium quality ₹10000/month room in Old Rajendra Nagar as per the broker, Somebody please help me find a room 😭😭😭”
He further shared, “I haven't booked this room as it will be suffocating so if anyone has a good room in the same 10K budget near ORN or Patel Nagar then feel free to help me.”
The picture shows a tiny room with a folding bed and a study table. The room is so small that one cannot even walk three steps. Since being shared online, the post has gone viral with several reactions from social media users.
“That’s insane … the owners must be witches … there is no #window to that room 🙄😐😑😶,” commented a user.
Another user shared, “It has become really expensive at Rajinder Nagar now as far as I know and have heard.”
“What is wrong with the bed size, they literally halfed the single bed💀,” shared another user.
