Patna: Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) and several other educational institutions would be developed as centres of excellance in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said.

Sufficient funds would be made available for strengthening the basic infrastructure and beautification of PMCH, besides an auditorium constructed for holding functions without inconveniencing patients, he told a function organised on the occasion of 87th foundation day of PMCH.

The state government state government would provide Rs 13 crore for construction of a new hostel and had already sanctioned Rs 93 lakh for construction of a new guest house in the hospital campus.

Kumar released a souvenir and felicitated renowned physician Jagannath Prasad. State health minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey and BJP MP C P Thakur also spoke.
